This social housing project funded by the Queensland Government’s Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy is an exciting development completed in December 2021. Located in the north of Brisbane, 27 new units of affordable living spaces all embrace one common goal of maximising quality living for all.

Responding to the needs of an ageing population, KO&Co have proudly adopted the Livable Housing Guidelines in ensuring these units have the flexibility to adapt and respond to meet the changing needs of the occupants over their lifetimes. Divided between two blocks, 15 single bedroom units and 4 double bedroom units are designed to adhere to a LHA Gold standard. 8 two bedroom units have been designed at LHA Platinum level to better accommodate for ageing in place and for occupants with higher mobility requirements.

A green laneway on the ground inspires spaces of sociability, respite, and connection between occupants. At the heart, this project embraces and celebrates values of community, security, and belonging.
