headland house

Headland House operates as a dual-living space, with its inhabitants residing upstairs, and the capacity for children and grandchildren downstairs. The coastal home seeks to take advantage of the local views to the beach, and to optimise natural light and breeze. The project values connection above all, with visibility through the communal parts of the home a key factor in the form of the home.

The site’s beachside location significantly influenced its material choices. Durability and low maintenance were key factors, leading to the selection of concrete and steel, with gentle timber accents.

Headland House strives for contemporary design with relaxed undertones, as a permanent home for two adults and two dogs, and amenities for an ever growing family.
