ahasa house
Located on a large suburban block with mature trees framing the expansive sky, Ahasa House provides distinct zones for each family member, with every room having a direct connection to the garden. Designed for a large family with active children, the L shape floor plan allows the family gathering spaces to occur in the centre of the house, encouraging constant interaction to occur at the kitchen, located in the knuckle of the plan.
The living space is positioned to maximise cross ventilation and provide the sense of extension across both the front and rear gardens. This allows the front garden to become a private, sunny courtyard space – a prime position for the swimming pool for year round use. The material palette is restrained, with the feature of the home being the extensive use of polished concrete throughout the living spaces.
